Hey guys, I’m planning a quick weekend trip to Calgary next month with some friends. Can anyone recommend a decent spot to stay that has good entertainment, live music, and solid food all in one place? Ideally not right in the hectic downtown core.

Literally just ran into the schedule on Deerfoot Casino last night after complaining to a mate about how boring our weekend plans were looking. Wish I’d checked their entertainment calendar sooner to be fair. They bring in some really solid comedy acts and classic rock bands to their showroom. Saved us from dying of boredom this Saturday, so fair play to them. Definitely worth keeping in your bookmarks for local nightlife stuff.
